Klang supermarket loses RM21,000 in burglary
KLANG, July 21 — A burglar escaped with about RM21,000 from a wholesale supermarket in Seksyen 36, Kampung Jawa here today.
The outlet’s supervisor realised the money was missing when he was about to begin business at 6.45am.
Shah Alam police deputy chief Supt Mazlan Othman said the supermarket’s closed-circuit television camera showed an intruder fleeing with the money after gaining entry via a rear window using special tools.
In a separate case, burglars escaped with cash and spare parts worth about RM43,000 from a motorcycle shop in Taman Sri Muda here.
The manager discovered the loss, which included RM15,000 kept in a cashier machine, when he opened the shop for business about 9am today. — Bernama
