Man dead, another injured in attack
KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 —A group of men attacked two men in Taman Setapak near here last night, killing one of them and severely injuring the other, police said.
Sentul Police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said the dead man has been identified as S. Prabakaran, 27. His body was found at about 9 pm in a drain about 200 metres from the playground where he was believed to have been set upon by his assailants, he told reporters last night.
The other man who was injured in the back and head, fled from his attackers and, with the help of some people, was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, he said.
Prabakaran’s body was also sent to the hospital. Zakaria did not rule out the possibility that the two men were involved in a quarrel before the attack took place. — Bernama
