KANGAR, Jan 11 – Members of the Council of Former Elected Representatives (Mubarak) should be together with Barisan Nasional (BN)to ensure the coalition continues to be in power after the coming 13th general election.
Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu said although they were no longer elected representatives, they could still influence the people and were respected by the local community.
“Hence, they are still able to convince the people to give their undivided support to the BN candidates,” he said in his speech at the opening of the 10th general meeting of the Perlis branch Mubarak here today.
The text of Md Isa’s speech was read by his political secretary, Azali Abas.
Meanwhile, Perlis Mubarak president, Datuk Selamat Saad gave the assurance that they would help the BN candidates in the coming general election.
Also present at the function was Mubarak Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Ibrahim. – Bernama
