Missing man found dead in Klang River

July 20, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 — An Indian man who was reported missing two days ago was found floating in the Klang River near Jalan Syed Putra, here, today.

Brickfields police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the fully-clothed body was found by passersby at 2.30pm.

“After checking the trouser pockets of the 25-year-old man, we found his passport and several documents related to his work in his country,” he said when contacted by Benama today.

Wan Abdul Bari said an examination of the man’s body found no signs of injuries that could connect his death to an act of crime.

“However, we will find out the actual cause of death tomorrow, based on a post-mortem of the body at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre,” he added. — Bernama
