Motorcyclist dies after ploughing into cow
KUANTAN, Aug 18 — A man was killed when his motorcycle ploughed into cow that was crossing the road at Km10 Jalan Jerantut-Temerloh today.
Pahang police administration and traffic enforcement officer ASP Zainalabidin Othman said Zulkefli Pin, 38, from Kampung Bukit Mat Daling, Ulu Tembeling, died at 3.53am while receiving treatment at the Jerantut Hospital.
He said in the 2.45am incident, the victim was riding his motorcycle from Temerloh to Kuala Tahan when he knocked into a cow.
In another accident, a senior citizen died when he fell off his motorcycle after being hit by a car that came from the same direction, at Batu 3, Jalan Kuantan-Gambang, yesterday.
Mat Lazim Abdullah, 74, from Kampung Bukit Beirut, Jalan Bukit Setongkol here, died at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan while receiving treatment.
Zainalabidin said in the 3.30pm accident, the victim was heading to Gambang from Kuantan when a car graced his motorcycle.
The victim, who was thrown off his motorcycle, suffered head injuries and was rushed to hospital but died about five hours later. — Bernama
