No LRT works near homes, Prasanara tells Subang Alam residents
KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 — Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (Prasarana), the owner of the Kelana Jaya LRT line extension project, assured residents of Taman Subang Alam in Shah Alam today that there were no works being carried out near their homes.
In a statement today, Prasarana clarified that the advanced works which the residents had referred to in media reports were not in the same areas.
The statement said current works were for Station 12, which had been approved by the Selangor state government.
“Prasarana will only work on an area after securing the approval from state government authorities.
“We are made to understand that Selangor Economic Action Council has appointed an Independent Check Engineer to conduct a geotechnical and geological assessment study,” it said.
Residents of Putra Heights and Taman Subang Shah Alam, where one of the stations would be located, have raised concerns over possible risks to their homes due to construction works. — Bernama
