KULIM, April 14 —  Padang Serai MIC chairman Datuk S Parasuraman’s family was attacked by three robbers, including a woman at knifepoint.

The three had pretended to be delivering a wedding invitation card but then proceeded to rob the family of around RM10,000 in cash and jewellery at about 2.30pm, according to Bernama.

Parasuraman said the robbers had taped his wife and daughter’s hands and mouth and put knives to the necks of his grandchildren and daughter. He said the robbers were not wearing masks and were in their 20s to 30s.

He made a report at the Kulim district police headquarters. Kulim OCPD Supt Ghuzlan Salleh confirmed the incident when contacted, said Bernama.
