Pahang exco Tan Aminuddin laid to rest

MARAN, June 19 — Pahang executive council member Datuk Tan Mohd Aminuddin Ishak, who died this morning from diarrhoea and vomiting, was buried at Kampung Machang Gelap cemetery in Seberang Chenur, at 3.50pm today.

More than 2,000 people including the Yang di-Pertua of Malacca Tun Khalil Yaakob, Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, PAS information chief Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and Pahang DAP chairman Leong Ngah Ngah, attended the funeral.

Tan Aminuddin, 64, who had been the state committee chairman for Agriculture, Agro-based Industry and Felda Affairs, breathed his last at about 9am at the intensive care unit of the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh after being treated for almost two weeks.

He had been admitted to the Hospital on June 8 after suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting, and was transferred to the ICU following complications from other diseases including heart problems and diabetes.

Tan Aminuddin, born in Chenor, had been the Maran Umno division chief and the Chenor state assemblyman for five terms. He had previously held the post of the deputy mentri besar of Pahang. — Bernama
