PAS woman sworn in as senator
KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 — Khairiah Mohamed of PAS today took her oath of office as a senator before Dewan Negara President Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang.
Khairiah, 38, who is permanent deputy chairman of the Kelantan PAS women’s wing, holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the International Islamic University.
The Kelantan State Assembly recently approved Khairiah’s appointment as a senator to succeed Mumtaz Mohd Nawi whose term of office has ended. — Bernama
