Perak Malay contractors want 30pc of mega projects

IPOH, April 21 — Perak Malay contractors are asking the state for 30 per cent of its mega projects.

Chairman of The Perak Malay Contractors Association Malaysia (PKMM) Datuk Wira Jamaluddin Abdul Rahim said, according to Bernama, their contractors had both the experience and capacity.

The issue was pressing according to PKMM since out of state contractors have been benefitting in the past.

At their press conference today they identified two projects they are keen on are the Ipoh-Selama highway near the Kedah border and Jana Manjung 2 Lumut power plant. Both projects in PKMM’s estimate would be worth RM10 billion.
