KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 – The police have detained 12 men for gambling at a house in Sentul here last night.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 56, were believed to have used the house in Taman Bahagia as a gambling den over the past three months.

City anti-vice, gambling and secret societies branch chief Deputy Superintendent Razali Abu Samah said in the 11.50pm raid, the police team seized RM1,526 from the suspects.

Subsequently, the same team detained 10 Chinese nationals for prostitution at a premises in Taman Usahawan, Kepong.

Razali said initial investigations revealed the premises fronted as a centre for reflexology but in reality, was a hotbed for vice activities.

A 45-year-old caretaker was nabbed to facilitate investigations, he said, adding that the “China dolls” had arrived here on social visit passes. – Bernama
