Registration for Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award closes Nov 30

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 —  Industry players from all sectors of the economy are invited to register before Nov 30 for participation in the 2012/2013 series of the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award (PMHA).

PMHA organising committee chairman Tan Sri Mustafa Mansur said the award, into its 10th year, recognised and appreciated the efforts of the private sector in the sustainable management of resources.

“This award plays an important role in placing the nation at the frontline in the effort to boost sustainability in the commercial sector and shows the government’s leadership in the environment sector.

“All participants are winners and those who don’t qualify can learn various aspects of environmental sustainability, and we always encourage the participation of all,” he said in a statement, today.

Mustafa said the award was also aimed at recognising the sectors involved in creating a greener Malaysia and encouraged the corporate sector to accept and practice the standards of environmental management.

“The involvement of the industry players in PMHA is seen as indicating their commitment and boosting their credibility, recognition and business opportunities,” he said.
