Remand lengthened for suspect in TV9 exec’s slaying
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 — Police have extended by five days the remand period of a close relative to facilitate investigation into the murder of TV9 administrative executive Syaleza Jaffar, 31, on July 28.
Selangor CID chief SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the earlier remand period ended yesterday.
Syaleza was found dead by her husband in a bedroom of their Saujana Apartments unit in Damansara Damai.
A post-mortem revealed strangulation marks on her neck.
Police arrested the man, a close relative, in Segamat, Johor, the following day. — Bernama
