Sabah STAR under Jeffrey Kitingan starts tomorrow
KOTA KINABALU, Jan 5 — State Reform Party (STAR) launches its Sabah chapter tomorrow, to be led by the maverick Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
Dr Kitingan has been in and out of at least six political parties over twenty years, The Star newspaper reported.
The 65-year-old joined STAR after failing to get his pro-tem United Borneo Front, and sees the new development an important milestone for Sabah, Sarawak and Malaysia.
He added the right had arrived for Borneo people to unite and protect their rights in the country, referred to the two states as kingmakers of the country.
The launch will be at Panampang’s Kadazandusun Cultural Hall.
