Selangor MB to declassify MPK audit report

September 01, 2010

SHAH ALAM, Sept 2 – Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim today said his administration will make public an audit report on abuse of power at the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) over the issue of support letters.

“I will declassify the report and make it public. It will be after Hari Raya,” said the Selangor mentri besar.

The audit was carried out after it emerged that former local councillor Tee Boon Hock had issued a support letter for his son’s company to obtain a contract from MPK.

Tee was subsequently sacked from DAP and as a councillor.

Another MPK councillor, Hamidah Mat Som from PKR, is also being probed over similar allegations.

Khalid added that the audit report was ready but he had not yet seen the final version.
