SPAD opens access to public transport info database

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — Land public transport users in the peninsula will now be able to access various information on land transport terminals through the Public Transport Terminal Information System (PTTIS).

Launched by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) last month, the system among others can enlighten users on the global positioning System co-ordinates of terminals, information on taxi, bus and rail terminals and accompanied by images of the situation at them.

“The system will make it more convenient for the public to use the services at the terminals, find precise terminal locations and facilities at the terminals.

“With this database, users can also more easily provide feedback on the level of services at the terminals and at the same time help to enhance them,” said SPAD in a statement here today.
