Torched woman succumbs to 90pc burns
KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — A woman who was torched by her boyfriend at a flat unit in Taman Segar, Cheras last Friday, died at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre today.
Chan Yee Mun, 23, who sustained 90 per cent burns to her body in the 3am attack, succumbed to her injuries at about 12.50pm.
Kuala Lumpur CID deputy chief ACP Khairi Ahrasa confirmed the victim's death.
A 35-year-old suspect, who also sustained burns to his body, has been remanded until Friday to facilitate investigations into the murder. — Bernama
