Two siblings charged with causing serious injury to brother

KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 — Two siblings pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to a charge of causing serious injury to their brother at a parking lot in Sentul three month ago. 

M. Sanger, 41, a scrap metal dealer, and M. Thiagarajan, 32, a junior general assistant, were charged with having common intention to cause serious injury to Salam Marimuthu, 36, an operation manager, using a steering wheel lock at a parking lot in Taman Mastiara, Jalan 7/18D, Off Jalan Ipoh, Sentul here at about 3am on March 3. 

They were charged under section 326 of the Penal Code, read together with section 34 of the same Code, which provides a maximum jail term of 20 years, with whipping and fine, upon conviction. 

Judge Ahmad Zamzani Mohd Zain fixed June 29 for re-mention. 

He also allowed Sanger and Thiagarajan bail of RM12,000 in one surety each and ordered them to report to the nearest police station once a month. — Bernama
