Young boys feared drowned in Sungai Perak
GERIK, Dec 30 — Police continue searching for three young boys feared to have drowned yesterday in Sungai Perak.
The lads — Mohd Saiful Haikal Dahari, seven, and his cousins, Mohd Amir Ruzai, 11, and Adaham Ruzai, eight — went missing near Kampung Kuala Kenderong stretch of the river, Bernama Online reported.
They were last sighted in a boat just 50m away from their homes at around 10am yesterday said Gerik district police deputy chief DSP Wan Jamil Wan Chik today.
Their families contacted the police at 2.30pm after discovering the boys failed to return home.
Police search operation, still ongoing, involves the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Department, Rela and local residents.
