Zamil insists Anwar mocked DAP, PAS in 2008
KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 — Self-proclaimed Kita president Zamil Ibrahim today called on Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to admit he had made statements insulting leaders of the opposition pact in 2008.
Zamil, who claimed to be the head of Parti Keadilan Insan Tanah Air (Kita), said he had a compact disc (CD) which was said to contain recordings made by a PKR branch leader using a mobile phone.
He claimed that the CD showed Anwar insulting Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties during a PKR meeting.
“As such, I call on Anwar to sincerely confess and tell the people that, on January 9, 2008, he had insulted PAS and the DAP in a PKR closed-door meeting at Yayasan Aman, Penanti in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
“I shall expose the CD recording in the near future if Anwar does not want to confess,” he said at a news conference, here today.
However, Zamil did not show the contents of the CD to the media. — Bernama
