Diversion on Federal Highway for LRT works
KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 — Traffic diversion will be carried out at the Federal Highway Route 2 between KM18.7 and KM19.6 (both directions) beginning Sunday (July 15) to March 31 next year.
According to Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana), the diversion is to facilitate construction work for the Kelana Jaya LRT Line Extension Project.
The construction, which will take place at the highway median, will affect the overtaking lanes on both directions of the highway for Kuala Lumpur-bound and Klang/Shah Alam bound vehicles, the company said in a statement here today.
Consequently, the motorcycle lane for Klang-bound users will be temporarily closed and diverted into a specially-reserved lane prior to merging back into the unaffected part of the Klang/Shah Alam route.
All road users are advised to follow all traffic and safety signs and to drive or ride with caution.
Enquiries may be made by contacting Prasarana’s Hotline at 03-2267 9898.
The Kelana jaya LRT extension will begin from the Kelana Jaya station, and will pass through Subang Jaya and USJ before ending at Putra Heights — covering a distance of 17 kilometres with 12 stations. — Bernama
