New Yorkers will be the first to see the movie on October 14, 2012 at Lincoln Centre’s Alice Tully Hall. It is the first live-action film in twelve years for Robert Zemeckis, who went on a long exploration of CGI effects after 2000’s Cast Away.

In the new movie, scheduled for release on November 20, 2012 in North America, Denzel Washington portrays an airline pilot recognized as a hero for having saved his passengers.
