KUANTAN, Sept 7 — Suara Anak Pahang (SUAP) today lodged a police report over the airing of an Aidilfitri advertisement by private television station TV3 which is claimed to have insulted Muslims. 

SUAP Action Committee chairman Mohd Shukri Mohd Ramli made the report at about 3pm at the Kuantan district police headquarters here.

He said SUAP wanted an investigation of those who had produced the advertisement, which TV3 has since withdrawn and apologised to viewers.

“Although TV3 has apologised, the case must be looked into by the authorities for the sake of the sanctity of Islam in the country,” he told reporters here. — Bernama
