SHAH ALAM, Sept 2 — The Selangor government disclosed today that it has identified the suspects who it believes are responsible for installing a hidden camera in Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s office.

“We have identified a few faces of some who were not supposed to be there (in the office),” said the Selangor mentri besar’s political secretary Faekah Husin today.

Faekah said the faces along with voices were captured on the video camera discovered recently in the MB’s office.

However, she was tight-lipped on whether the individuals had accidentally recorded themselves.

She indicated the individuals were internal staff who were found acting suspiciously in the room.

Faekah drew an analogy of a cleaner who was not cleaning to illustrate her point.

She indicated the culprits may be acting for Khalid’s political foes, describing the plot as “naughty politics”.

“We will handle it politically,” she said.

Faekah, who is leading the task force carrying out internal investigations into the matter, said the MB’s office has yet to decide if a police report should be lodged for criminal investigations to also be carried out.

For now the state intends to question the suspects to find out who their political master is.

The internal investigations have already traced the shop where the spy-cam was purchased from.

Earlier today, Faekah met three police officers to discussed upgrading the security in Khalid’s office.

She said they carried out a physical examination of the office and were shocked to find that security was so lax.

However, she pointed out that Khalid’s administration was using same security measures which were already in place.

“We are using the same system and same staff because we gave everybody the benefit of the doubt,” she said.

The police officers will submit a report to the state on recommendations to upgrade security in the office in a day or two.
