Part two of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will hit theatres a year after part one. This is despite both films being shot back-to-back in the fall by director Bill Condon.
Distributor Summit Entertainment split Stephenie Meyer’s 900-page “Breaking Dawn” book into two films after realising it was too complex to be adapted into a single movie.
The third film, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” is nearing the end of its North American run with sales to date of US$289 million (RM925 million), still US$7 million short of the tally for the previous film, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” released last November. — Reuters
