Iwan hopes he will improve on his placing at the Mr Malaysia 2010, where he came out third last year in his category.
As for Samhan Adnan, who has not competed in any competitions since 2007, winning his category and the Most Muscular Award definitely marked a successful comeback. This time, he surprised the judges and the audience with perfectly rounded muscles and deep vascularity.
Although only 19, Azwan Razali was able to build a highly muscular physique and also display it with a highly-energetic and funky posing routine, enabling him to clinch the Best Poser Award and also his category title.
At the other end of the spectrum, Ayob Said was able to prove that despite being way past his prime age, he was able to build a physique better than most men half his age. In fact, the physique of all three contestants in the Masters category would easily turn heads in public places.
Hundreds of bodybuilding enthusiasts and friends and family of the contestants who packed the event hall were awed by the best physiques in the region. All the winners of the various categories will represent Kuala Lumpur in the Mr Malaysia 2010 contest which will be held in Penang from July 16 to 19.
Kuala Lumpur Bodybuilding Federation (KLBBF) honorary secretary Vincent Ho said: “This year’s Mr Kuala Lumpur 2010 showed the rise of new and old talents. I hope the Kuala Lumpur team will at least retain our third place at the Mr Kuala Lumpur 2010 in July.”
