Bill Paxton could join Tom Cruise in sci-fi military film
Bill Paxton — AFP/RelaxnewsLOS ANGELES, Sept 20 — “All You Need is Kill”, directed by Doug Liman, will put a sci-fi military spin on the old Groundhog’s Day trope: a human soldier who is killed by alien forces on his first outing relives his last day over and over again.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bill Paxton is currently in talks with Warner Bros to join the cast of “All You Need is Kill”, with production scheduled to start this autumn. The actor/director would play a high-ranking military badass in a conflict pitting humans against aliens.
The plot is based on a light graphic novel from Japan and will star Tom Cruise as the soldier who is stuck in a time loop; British actress Emily Blunt will fight at his side. — AFP/Relaxnews
