CBS nabs ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV project
CALIFORNIA, Sept 6 — US channel CBS has nabbed the TV version of Beverly Hills Cop.
The follow-up to the 1980s action trilogy starring Eddie Murphy will revolve around Axel Foley's son, who will follow his father's footsteps by operating in the plush California neighbourhood.
Eddie Murphy will be back as Axel Foley, a Detroit cop transferred to Beverly Hills, in a pilot to be penned by Shawn Ryan. Ryan, creator of The Shield and Last Resort, a new sitcom that will air on ABC, will act as the new series showrunner provided it is greenlit by CBS. — AFP-Relaxnews
