KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 — Romantic dinner plans and... talking pigeons? A strange mix indeed but “Imports” is theatre fare a little different from the usual.

KLPac is staging a double bill of original plays from two young up-and-coming directors, Jude James and Marvin Wong. James wrote and directed the first play “Method”, which is about love, a chance encounter and a reminder of the intricacies of human entanglements.

“Street Lamp Named Desire”, written by Thomas Pang and directed by Wong, is described as “a modern-day fairytale right down to the talking pigeons. The girl of his dreams is moving away; what is a lowly doorman to do?” What indeed? Find out on the June 21 when the plays open.
