Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’. — AFP picLOS ANGELES, April 8 — The first trailer for the comedy-drama Crazy, Stupid, Love stars Steve Carell (Date Night, Despicable Me) as a husband coping with a marital crisis, and offers a touch of the comedic actor’s serious side.
The footage shows a 40-something husband who is shocked to discover his wife, played by Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right), is cheating on him. In an effort to rebound, he relies on a slick 30-something ladies man to provide lessons for his makeover as he tries dating again.
Meanwhile, this advisor, played by Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine), starts changing his seductive ways when he meets someone special.
The film also stars Emma Stone (The Easy A and upcoming Spider-Man) and Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler), who add to the humor of the story.
Crazy, Stupid, Love is set to be released on July 29.
