Big Daddy Entertainment executive director Michael Rusli said they received news of the cancellation from Lady Gaga’s management team this morning.
“They finally cancelled the concert after considering several factors; it is what’s best for all concerned,” he said at a press conference, here.
According to the organisers, they would fully refund the money from the sale of more than 50,000 tickets.
Big Daddy’s lawyer, Minola Sebayang, said Lady Gaga and her management team did not wish for any untoward incident to happen during the performance that would have been staged at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in the face of several threats against them.
According to him, the relevant agency had actually given the green light for the show as 95 per cent of the conditions had been met.
On rumours that Lady Gaga would stage her concert in Bali instead, Rusli said it would not be that simple as the logistics alone involved about 70 containers. — Bernama
