The event located in the desert of Indio, California, spans two weekends this year, April 13-15 and April 20-22, with all acts performing both weekends.
Other artists on the bill include Florence + the Machine, indie act Bon Iver, the psychedelic electronica of M83, singer-songwriter Cat Power, DJ David Guetta, the Arctic Monkeys, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff and punk icons the Buzzcocks.
Tickets available January 13 include remaining 3-day passes for US$285 (RM900), VIP passes for US$665, and a general admission with a hotel shuttle for US$335.
The traffic to the site has currently crashed but is expected to be running by 10am PT Friday. Tickets went on sale last June 2011 for one week and a 10-month payment plan will be available next year.
More than 100,000 music fans head to the desert for this opener of the summer festival season in North America.
