The film, produced by Warner Bros, will be based on Norman Ollestad's memoir, and “Variety” mentions that Penn is still in talks with Warner about the project.

“Crazy for the Storm”, published in 2009, tells the story of Norman Ollestad's childhood alongside his extreme sports-loving father, who relentlessly pushes him beyond his limits. At age 11, the young boy's perspective changes when he lives through a plane crash that kills his father and leaves him stranded in a blizzard. — AFP/Relaxnews
