LOS ANGELES, April 10 — Promotion for FX's thriller "The Bridge," which is due in July, has begun with four short trailers that reflect its somber mood.
These trailers, called "Ember," "Escape," "Red" and "Crossroads," are no longer than 17 seconds and leave spectators mostly in the dark. The two leads of "The Bridge," Diane Kruger and Demián Bichir, do not even appear.
The two actors play police inspectors, American Sony Cross and Mexican Marco Ruize, who will work together to catch a serial killer operating on both sides of the border in El Paso and Juárez.
"The Bridge" is based on a Danish and Swedish series, "Bron," that has been on air since 2011. Canal+ has also set the wheels in motion for a Franco-British remake. This version will follow an investigation by a French inspector played by Clémence Poésy and a British inspector played by Stephen Dillane. "Le Tunnel" ("The Tunnel") will be shown in 2013 on the French channel and on Sky Atlantic in Britain. – AFP-Relaxnews
