KUANTAN, Jan 23 – To get the best player line-up, mational chief coach Datuk K. Rajagopal also monitors the development of players in the Malaysia League, apart from those listed, to be called for training for the 2015 Asia Cup qualifying round.
He said, monitoring was one of the tasks that had to be carried out to monitor the development of national players.
“If we can see players who shine or are playing well, we will give them the opportunity to show a good and consistent game.
“I also hope those willing to play for the national team will play well in all Malaysian League matches,” he said, after the Super League match between Pahang and Terengganu at Darul Makmur Stadium here last night.
He also disclosed that Pahang players Mohd Hafiz Kamal and Mohd Fauzi Rozlan, who showed good performances in all their matches, were among those in his list to be called for training.
According to Rajagopal, players who had broad experiences at international level, such as Safee Sali and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, must also be called for the training to help the national team. – Bernama
