Strong Malaysian presence likely at CommunicAsia2012 in Singapore
KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 – Visitors to CommunicAsia2012 and EnterpriseIT2012, to be held in Singapore next week, can once again expect exposure to a wide array of solution providers and industry professionals from Malaysia.
In a statement today, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) said the exhibitions, along with BroadcastAsia2012, will be held from June 19-22, 2012, at the Marina Bay Sands and Suntec Singapore, respectively.
“Malaysia is set to command a presence of about six per cent in the exhibition, the largest participation compared with other Asean countries outside of Singapore,” it said.
SES said the last edition saw participation of more than 90 Malaysian exhibitors while this year, local telecommunications giants such as Telekom Malaysia, Maxis and Digi Telecommunications, led by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), are expected to participate.
“Other exhibitors include MEASAT Global, a participant since 2002, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) and first time exhibitor, MIMOS, in the segment of Cloud Computing and NIS Solution in Network Performance Solution,” it added.
Jarod Lopez, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing, MEASAT Satellite System, said CommunicAsia offers a unique and relevant platform to showcase its technologies and solutions in the satellite arena to the Asian region.
“In addition, it offers visitors from around the world a space to see and discuss the latest developments in the market and ICT industry.
“It has a long track record of success that speaks for itself and that made us return every year since 2002,” he said.
SES said Malaysia will also be brilliantly represented at the CommunicAsia2012 Summit.
The confirmed speakers include Michael Lai, Chief Executive Officer of Packet One Networks; Praveen Rajan, Head of Internet & Services at DiGi Telecommunications; and Susan Bryant, Director South Pacific CIO department of Huawei Technologies (Malaysia). – Bernama
