Twitter is quickly filling with Star Wars-themed posts and messages as Twitterers go all out trying to impress their followers with a display of geekiness.
“May the Fourth Be With You! Now go, have fun, and be the best geek you can be on this glorious day,” say Tweeps.
“Star Trek” fans are also getting in on the May 4 action with the term “#HappyStarTrekDay.”
“Lol at the people getting mad at the #HappyStarTrekDay trend. It’s a joke you dopey people,” quip Tweeps.
Google is celebrating what would have been the 54th birthday of American artist Keith Haring with a pop art inspired Doodle. The Google logo was created using variations of the colourful dancing figures Haring was renowned for.
An article on technology blog Mashable has turned “10 best Android puzzle games” into a trending topic on Twitter as people re-share the list of apps with their followers. Mashable’s top Android puzzle game picks include the “World of Goo”, “Triple Town”, “Chu Chu Rocket”, “Cut the Rope: Experiments” and “Tetris”.
Resorts World Manila, a popular tourist destination in the Philippines, has opened a brand new gaming arcade called GameZoo. Tweeps say “GameZoo is the craziest and wildest amusement centre in the city!”
The microblogs are getting steamy, with trending topics such as “7 Days of Sex” and “I need you now”. “7 Days of Sex sounds like the perfect week,” say microbloggers.
