“Ultra-luxury” cruise agent Six Star Cruises has announced plans for what it believes is the most expensive cruise vacation ever offered, a voyage likely adding up to a cool £1 million (RM5 million) per couple, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The 124-day journey, starting in London, will take in 28 countries and will run to more than £8,000 a day as it winds its way through the oceans, calling at destinations including South Africa, Australia and Barbados.

The package includes private flights to and from the embarkation point in Los Angeles, along with Rolls-Royce transport in the US for four days prior to setting sail.

On board, guests will be accommodated in the Royal Suite of the Silversea’s Silver Whisper ship, which offers a butler and — according to the report — fine dining from Relais and Chateaux chefs.

The vacation concludes with a stay in a private luxury apartment complete with its own cinema before a private jet flight back.

It’s an expensive voyage for those after the very best — but those looking to splash out may want to bear in mind that for 115 days of the journey, they will be on board Silver Whisper with a host of passengers paying much, much less.

A cheaper room on board the ship for the 2013 World Cruise is available from US$48,114 (RM149,000) per person. — AFP-Relaxnews
