The park first opened its doors on April 12, 1992 and has since shot to the top of Europe's most popular tourist attractions, welcoming millions of visitors every year.

The 20th anniversary celebrations get under April 1 and are headlined by the new Disney Dreams show, a light and water extravaganza which uses a host of special effects to illuminate the park's iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The premiere of the new celebration will be streamed live on March 31 at 10:30PM EST on the Disneyland Paris YouTube channel, ahead of the first performance for guests on April 1.

A new Disney Magic Moments festival will also begin April 6, with a host of new shows and daily character interactions featuring characters from movies such as Peter Pan, The Jungle Book and The Lion King.

The Disney Magic daytime parade has also been revamped for visitors, with new music and new characters which the park says will give a completely new experience.

To allow guests more time to enjoy the celebrations, the park's opening times have been extended on several days, to 9:30PM on most weekdays and as late as 11PM over the weekends.
