Langkawi co-op hotel to open by year end

The Langkawi District Development Cooperative will open a 45-room hotel called KPD Inn by year-end.

Its chairman Ismail Yaakob said a building adjacent to Langkawi Mall in Kuah, Kedah, near the cooperative's office, has been acquired for the project.

He said renovation work to build rooms and related facilities would start after receiving approval from the authorities.

The cooperative is engaged in diverse businesses including operating petrol kiosks, as a wholesaler and as a motorcycle agent. – Bernama, July 31, 2013.
