Accused in gruesome murder returning to Canada

The Canadian man wanted in his homeland on suspicion of killing and dismembering a student, then posting a video of the crime online, says he will not fight extradition from Germany where he was arrested, German authorities said on June 5. – Reuters picOTTAWA, June 18 – A sometime porn movie actor accused of first-degree murder in connection with the killing, dismembering, and cannibalising of a Chinese student in Montreal is being flown back to Canada from Germany, where he was arrested, Canadian television networks reported today.

The Canadian air force is flying the accused, Luka Rocco Magnotta, in the custody of Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp said.

After an international manhunt, Magnotta was arrested in a Berlin Internet cafe. He is accused of killing student Jun Lin and sending his feet and hands to two Canadian political parties and to two Vancouver schools. A gruesome online video depicts the crime. – Reuters
